I washed mine for the first time today, and when I opened the hood, water ran out of the extractor all over the engine compartment. From now on, I'll open the hood and put a towel down before washing, but are there any other ways to deal with this? Obviously you can't block it off, but maybe some way to duct the water out?
Thanks.

I just dry the engine off after I wash mine. Not sure how you can stop it. Had the same problem with my Z06's.

What do you think happens when it rains? It’s water it’s not gonna hurt anything. Electrical isn’t exposed.

Doh, that explains the ‘factory[delivery]’ soap stains/runs, been wondering where some of that ‘what’s that hmm’…came from.

My GC SRT has the same issue with the heat extractors. Honestly I never worried about it. A little water and soap isn't going to hurt the engine. Same thing happens when it rains.

Not concerned about damage, just ease of cleanup. Just how it is then.

Blow dry it off and prevent water spots also.

I never drove my Z06's in the rain, so the only time it was an issue was when I washed them. I wasn't worried about water damage, it was just a pain in the butt to wipe down the engine compartment after washing it.
