Anyone got vapor blue with white strips? I'm looking to get white strips on mine, but I'm scared it looks bad. Any other color strips on vapor blue are also welcomed to comment
I have a vapor blue and thought about strips but could never decide what I really wanted, color or style. The factory look alright but never pulled the trigger..
@Abe09 ..... on one of the car forums there was a discussion about a software application that could AI a room, a house - anything for colors and wallpaper etc. One of the forum members took a picture of his Mustang and tried a bunch of stripes then took his final version to a trim shop. I didn't pay much attention as my personal taste is for clean lines and colors. I hate the stick-on parts that some Mustangs (California Specials) come with. I bet you could find somewhere - probably a qulaity trim shop that has that software.
Here is my Vapor Blue with the Iconic Silver factory stripes The color looks good, but is subtle. I am considering doing a double silver upper stripe with a red stripe in the middle, but that may be too much.
@FrontRangeRyder ..... I have the Vapor Blue metallic too. It changes colors in the bright sunlight. I get a lot of comments on it. I am generally not a fan of stripes but yours do look great - "elegantly menacing"..... LOL
Thanks; the silver alternate stripe highlights the dark carbon color large stripe very nicely. And you're right, the color changes in the bright sunlight. Love it!
I went with black for the contrast and a silver pinstripe to tie in the chrome on the logos etc, but I think white could be pretty cool and/or unique. Maybe with a pinstripe on the edges to make it pop?
Also, if you get vinyl stripes, you can pull them off if you don't like them without hurting the paint.
Otherwise I don't think Vapor Blue is a good color for rally stripes. To pull off that look, you need contrast. Everything looks washed out on Vapor Blue. Especially when its not in the sun.
