They're on a dusty ass airstrip. Plus, the C8 has the engine over the rear wheels. Remember the ZR1 does 0-60 in 2.2 seconds. MotorTrend went 2.8 in a C8 Stingray. The GT500 and GTD still have a crappy 0-60 because of the chassis (Motortrend went 3.38 in a GTD, AutoWeek did the same in a GT500 while C&D went 3.6)

Supercharger on street tires = spin spin spin
Look, you're not wrong. It's not easy to launch and catch a C8 on stock tires. But the Pirellis are fine. Cup's are way better, of course. Another thing, this is all magazine driver times, of which I have little respect. It would not spin spin spin if they knew how to drive. I will die and be embalmed on this hill and spit at passersby with my last dying breath. Been doing it for too many years. Sure, you can't stab it on Pirellis, of course, but you can feel the edge of traction and stay there with throttle control to maximize available traction.

Unless Ford has fixed the system the times displayed with sync 4 are way off. Use dragy or other established third party GPS tracker and you'll see that the real world numbers are much much higher;)
I have seen many a silly Dragy number for too many years. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't particularly look to Dragy as evidence any more than the stock dashboard. You can see similar numbers on a drag strip with a competent driver.

main problem now is the top end

they were topped out for a bit 140mph is top speed limiter on stage 1 Whipple

would be very close to the e-ray and z06 if that was removed but thats not going to happen on that channel as they need stage 2 or custom tune

you see the gt500 is going 148 the DH should be around there
I'm lost. I've been way over 140mph in my car. It is not limited by Stage 1 Whipple.

I don't know why U-Drag has such a hard time putting down good launches and ET's with Mustangs. I can't imagine putting down a mid-11 with a supercharged Dark Horse. The C8, however, popped out of the hole like they all do... very, very well.
They never follow the best advice for dragging 10r80 mustangs. I haven’t watched this video yet but in all the other Udrags with the DH they were paddle shifting it when they should let the car shift

Mid engine rear drive is an advantage

That's part of it for sure. I never had any luck paddle shifting with my C8. Like, once you smack the paddle it takes it .25-.50 to make a decision.

There's so little info out there, I have no reason not to believe you.

Maybe so? I have been way over 140 in mine. I also saw where someone else couldn't shut off emergency braking in Track mode. Mine doesn't use the radar at all in Track mode. Something has changed somewhere down the line I imagine.

Except they only went 125 on the front half in the Supercharger DH and 132 in the GT500

Yep, and since horsepower is mappable mathematically, that says everything about their driving. 125mph is far from 810hp trap speeds if all things are optimal.

Again, they already made a video about their car

Shouldn't 810hp trap near 150mph?

It's 810 crank not wheel (and wasn't making full power)

That car 'only' made 629 at the tire

The handling pack Dark Horse is 4,028lb according to the magazines

Add another 100lbs for the supercharger and 200lbs for a driver

4,328lbs total

The dissappointing part is, if you look at the non-supercharged numbers, the dark horse only went 10mph faster in the 1/4 mile and only 10mph faster at the end of the race

115 vs 125mph and 128 vs 138mph

Added 200hp on the dyno (while whipple claims a 300hp gain) and only gained 10mph trap speed. Hrmmmm
