Torque specs brake pad installation

Looking to change brake pads.

Anyone knows the toque specs for the front brake caliper bolt as well as the rear bolts? (4 piston brembo calipers in the front )
Do I need to add loctite and if so which strength ?
Do I need to add greese in the back of the brake pads? which kind? These pads will be for track days . I plant to switch back to street pads

Brake grease. I use this one. You can get it at Amazon or O'Reilly's, AutoZone etc

I put this on my pins and the back of my pads. If you buy pads that have shims make sure you put grease on the back of the pad between it and the shim as well as the outbound facing surface of the shim that comes into contact with the pistons. High quality brake grease will not damage the boot of your pistons. Don't gob it on and make sure everything is clean.

In addition, you'll want to buy some brake clean spray. Use this to clean up your rotors, pins and brake retention clips. Do not spray this onto the rubber piston boots.

For the rears you have to put the brake system into maintenance mode. You can find instructions for that on the web.

For the front, the brake tie rod bold torque spec is 22 lb ft. That is the only bolt removed to replace the pads. I use orange loctite if I’m not replacing the hardware with new parts.

The rear caliper bolts show Stage 1 torque of 23 lb ft and stage 2 of 28. The repair manual also says to discard the old bolts and use new ones. I have rear Brembos, so I’ve never dealt with the single piston brakes on the Mustang.

For track use, grease will just melt if you put it on the back of the pads.
