Multimatic has been making DSSV suspension since 2002. they did not make this suspension system for the GTD, they modified the stock GT chassis they pull off the line to support their already existing system
You know DSSV is just the shock, right? Plenty of other vehicles have them (like Camaros and trucks) and they have nothing to do with the GTD rear suspension

You're telling me they just pulled this whole thing off the shelf?

The GTD should be compared to the Camaro not the Corvette. Oh wait there is no Camero. So lets compare their Mustang GTD to a car that is lighter and has over 200 more horsepower bigger tires. But that just shows how good or little Mustang is.
Why not. Jim Farley sure does keep comparing it to Porsche. If you can't even out perform a Corvette what makes you think you even have a chance against Porsche. I'd still take the 6th Gen Camaro chassis over any current s550/s650 short of the GTD.

its called pushrod suspension its usually reserved for race cars and high end supercars (Lamborghini Aventador, but more specifically for this case, the AM One 77 which Multimatic did the suspension for). the only reason you dont see this setup more is because it has horrible comfort when compared to more contemporary designs, but this is not a new design by far.

i do find it funny, now that ive had a chance to watch it all, that their decision for winner was driven most by the price, proving yet again the GTDs price is fucking stupidly high

We're talking about the specific suspension on this specific car.

It wasn't a new design to use tires or an engine in this car either. You are dense...

This one from the AM one is totally different...

Then by your own definition they're both race cars, don't blame me for your deficiencies

Do people here just wake up and think "I'm ready to argue with strangers on the internet today!"

Seems like a lousy way to live.
It's a Chevy vs Ford thing. Good to have some sort of rivalry. Everytime the C8 gets brought up threads like these all end up the same way. I'll take these over the threads where everyone is trying to "solve" the U.S. economy/work force.

I'm not going to wade into the Ford vs. Chevy thing, but as has been mentioned, I think the big negative for the Mustang is the cost. It just doesn't seem to provide the performance relative to its price, and its interior is basically base Mustang Ecoboost.

I'll bet my Dad can whip yours! 😉

As much as I liked the video comparo (and bopth cars!); "if" I had the money; my choice would still be a Z06/07 for the high revving NA motor.

Reports so far say the GTD rides very well for a semi-race set up. far better than an GT3 RS, for example.

There's arguing, and there's correcting others misapprehensions. It's Gods work.

Yeah I'd lean more towards the Z06 or E-Ray. Probably more so the E-Ray for the instant torque and they can be tuned.
