Dealer has installed the new dashboard and says they "believe this has solved the issue" which I can only assume means that the noise in the dash is gone. Progress, love to see it!

Next items to tackle are the water leaking into the interior when it rains, and the kicking on startup.
They keeping the car for the other issues?

They are. I'm curious to see how long it takes. Hopefully it's a lot quicker than finding the noise. My service advisor told me it would be the hardest to diagnose, trying to find the source of the noise. Fingers crossed that it ends up being blatantly obvious where the leak is, and they don't end up needing to replace the transmission or something, wait 2 months for one to come in... Been there before!

The car is returned to me!
They could not diagnose the kick, but I also haven't experienced it since getting the car back.
The leak has been fixed with a TSB, so they were able to take care of that right away.
The noise in the dashboard has been solved! Apparently it was excess caulking under the windshield that was rubbing, according to the paperwork. But the car seems sorted! No further issues at the moment!

I'm glad you got the car back. And I'm glad the noise turned out to be something silly. Too bad your dealer had it so long and couldn't figure it out. Hopefully you don't have any more issues and can enjoy your car!

@Corrotto28 ...... I have owned three mustangs now and never had problems anywhere near that. Of most concern to me is the welds missing. That could lead to very serious later damages. It is a unibody type vehicle and all of the pinch welds are critical. Trade it back to the dealer for a new(er) one.
How did they find the missing welds?
It seems very odd.
I believe robots do the welding , so if your car is missing welds, there may be others?
Good Luck 🍀

They were hunting for the source of the noise and happened to stumble upon it! Thinking that could be the issue, they took it to a body shop to be welded properly, but that didn't end up fixing the issue.
It's the first time I've brought a car to a dealer for one thing, and they found a totally separate issue! But they took care of it! Overall, even if I was antsy to get the car back, I'm impressed with my dealership.
