Just goes to show the KEY component in any system is the people who're implementing it. It was true in every government agency I worked for and every project I participated in. All the kit/tech in the world means nothing if any on the team engage in complacency, slovenliness, or dishonesty.Ford uses statistical methods of checking incoming supplier material and parts. So, not all parts are looked at before going on a car. They are supposed to do the same thing on their assembly lines but I have witnessed Ford UAW employees cheating on their SPC charts. So, there ya go. SPC works quite well, IF you use it.
Amen brother. I used to run entire companies for a living (one supplied Ford) and the whole shebang is no better than the people inside the building(s). Ford does have some very good people......and some slovenliness, useless trouble makers. I had to deal with them even at my level. I won, each and every time until they started asking me for help. Duh.Just goes to show the KEY component in any system is the people who're implementing it. It was true in every government agency I worked for and every project I participated in.
