the Ford Performance price is always insane. once places like CJ Pony Parts get them and sell them, they will be cheaper. examples: the titanium shift knob from the Dark Horse is $400 from FP and $300 from Lethal Performance. the 2015-23 GT350R brake upgrade kit is $5700 from FP and $4200 from most other places

the mid pipe on the "M-5200-DHE", is it an X pipe or do the pipes just kink towards each other and not connect? its not super clear from Ford Performance's site

It doesn't appear to be an X pipe or connected at any point other than the bracing tabs. I will ask my Ford Performance rep though and let you know once I have an answer.

I just heard back and confirmed. The DH 3", DHE & DHS systems as well as the 5.0L Sport and Extreme systems all have X pipes. The image and descriptions don't reflect that info so they will be updating that info shortly.

Interesting that they went with xpipes across the board. But damn $2k for am axleback is robbery

I like that the non-active kits come with the quad tip valance. That was such a slap in the face for Ford to stick you with the stupid looking single tips if you didn't want to get stuck with an active valve system that will for sure give you problems just a few years from new.

Well.. I'm glad I invested in a bender years ago. I see no justification for that pricing.

yeah, it's pretty awesome they thought of the non-ae owners. those active exhaust systems are actually really reliable, they've been doing it in the Mustang since 2015 and now have it on the F-150 Raptor, Bronco Raptor, and Ranger Raptor. only issues i've seen with them is that TSB due to the actuator connector wiring chafing on a pinch weld on the Mustang, and a rattle sound caused by a spring on some F-150 Raptor

pretty good chance it will fit. adding ae would be a hassle, because IIRC it's a part of the rear bumper wiring harness, which is also for the parking sensors, license plate lights, trunk popper and some other stuff
