The Giugiaro Mustang concept debuted in 2006 and was a taste of what was to come with the 2010 S197 refresh.........a sleeker, curvier version of the original S197.

Why the Retread on the old Italian design?

The droopy hood that makes the car look sleepy or dopey is the same (continued similar to 2018+ Mustangs), and the "unibrow" straight line at the top of the grill that continues over the headlights is also the same between those two designs.

I agree stylistically they are very similar. Yes there are a lot of differences too, but they definitely have some sameness.

The only similarities I can see is that both upper parts of the frontends are clearly inspiried by the Gen 5 frontend. Still think the leaked imagine is more inspired by Audi RS Models than anything else
