If Shelby doesn’t think a brace is needed on their supercharged 810hp cars, why do it ?

It really doesn’t matter for street driving. It’s really for improving handling performance at the car’s extremes on the track. Most of use would never notice the difference. Shane van Gisbergen probably would. Just my opinion.
But, it does look cool when you open the hood. I still want one.

Means a hellva lot more than yours.
Like ford said...Shelby doesn't race

They aren't doing any testing or racing

But strut tower braces don't improve your track times on these cars. It's a feel better mod.

“and the convertible also features the same lightweight magnesium tower-to-tower brace in the engine bay.”

“The Dark Horse SC convertible is based on the Mustang GT convertible, and Ford claims the body structure was already rigid enough that it didn’t need to add any additional bracing. “….

Steeda makes a under car bracket ( stabilizer) works great. Sorry I forget exact name. But if you look up drag kit it'll pop up. My DK was difficult to keep from crossing yellow line we I go wide open, installed this and it helps a lot. The torque is a big difference from stock to SC. I have the Stage 2 whipple with custom tune. BTW if your gonna play hard launching, change the rear axles to Fords 1500 hp axles, and an avenger one piece aluminum dry shaft.
Good luck. Enjoy

It's the G-Trac system Steeda sells. I also have this with my race K-member, and yes, the car will track straight as an arrow when you have the supporting mods underneath.

Shamelessly, I played with a Dodge Hellkitty on the way home from a Cars n Coffee event; the road was open and clear, on the 5-lane TP. I could hear the HellKitty screeching tires while I sat down and went straight ahead. About the time I dropped into 4th I had already put two lengths on him. I just shut it down; he gave me the victor salute, screamed something about how my car sounded, and went on his way.

The supporting mods for suspension will work beautifully when you have them doing what needs to be done. In this case, even in a straight-line acceleration, I tracked forward, no hop, no kick out, just grip it n rip it. Just how it should be.

That's what happens when I don't check with spell check. But that's funny. Good thing that wasn't posted to the guy having problems pumping gas.

ninja,
Mine DH is a 10 speed. My wife can drive it. Per Steeda I went with the serious racing even though I don't. I am really glad I did straight as an arrow, and it's planted. Your Hell kitty that's great to hear. When I was driving mine home (2 1/2 hrs old) one of those hell kitty's came on the interstate next to me. Just reving making all kinds noise, speeding up,slowing down. I looked over at him and his passenger window came down, he pointed ahead, said think you can handle it? I said ok. He pointed again he stomped it so did I. He saw a lot of those DH tail lights pulling away. I glanced at the odometer 136 mph and climbing. He was nowhere insight. I let off. About 45 miles down the road he showed up, same results. I realized the 9 months I waited for it to arrive was worth the wait.
That was 12-27-23. Now almost 3yrs later, Stage 2 whipple, wheels,tires, axles,driveshaft ,1 piece,plus a few others, I love this car more than I ever expected. Here's a picture

When are you taking that Dark Horse to Sebring?

Well, I may be missing the season...There is an event on Aug 29th at Homestead; I will try to attend but will need to jump through a few hoops due to some things already planned.

After that, I am not sure when I will be back out because I am having knee surgery on my left side; this will be in Sept, then I have rehab. Am I guessing Nov for recovery? May scoot into Dec?

So, depending on recovery time and rehab, I guess the only dates I may get are late Nov or the Dec sessions at the track.

If you're asking me about Sebring, my answer is I'm not. I rarely drive it. I'm one of those guys that can't stand it getting dirty. My family teases me all the time. I'm actually putting it back in storage with all this rain we're experiencing we're liable to wake up one morning and have snow everywhere. I just bought a new car lift so I don't have to use a floor jack any longer. It's being delivered Friday, be ready for use Saturday.
Oh BTW I just got a 2nd recall about the PCM. Called the dealership told them it's already in storage. I asked if this is just a mix up because I just had it in there in June for the PCM recall. She said " No this is a different recall" well it's in storage. Get this her reply was. No worries just call us when you bring it backnout next spring because there'll probably be another recall fir the PCM. That's what happens when it's SC'd.
I've never heard such nonsense. Of course this is my first whipple. Wondering if others are experiencing the same.
