No dollybud, those are from 2019… they withheld our pay raise for 4 full years.
(This is the kind of stuff the UAW is pushing back against)

It’s all moot, seeing stellantis has a tentative close, F and GM will be a slam dunk, probably tentatives all in place by Wednesday and schedule the vote next week or 2.
Nbd… nothingburger

I do hope we see at least 10% raise.

More information might be available Wednesday the 13th, in the evening.

There is the possibility of targeted strikes occurring versus one mass strike.
I saw that, too. Louisville plant and Kentucky plant were mentioned as possible strike locations. This article posted below talks about it, but it did not mention Flat Rock.

"Under the plan disclosed by Fain on Facebook Live on Wednesday, UAW union members would be instructed to strike suddenly at strategic, targeted auto plants — and additional locations would follow at a moment's notice, unless the automakers agree to new contracts before the current ones expire just before midnight on Thursday.

A gradual escalation of the strikes across the three companies, Fain said, would keep Stellantis, Ford and GM on their toes about how their operations would be disrupted, giving the union more leverage."

Yeah, that's not going to do it for the UAW. The Big 3 can handle "targeted" strikes just fine (see GM in 2019).

After all of the big & bad rhethoric up until point, they must go all out (I.E. striking at all plants at the same time for several weeks) or end up proving the emperor has no clothes.

That said, Fain's already starting to cave on the demands despite the big club he's been pretending to wield.

The union wouldn't strike all three at once. Due to how the economy is right now. The economy can't afford something like that to happen and hope to recover from it. That will make inflation go up and also our taxes to keep the big 3 up. I think the union knows that if they do something extremely drastic, the government can deem them a threat internally and the strike ends. And everyone goes back to work at whatever agreement the government thinks is fair. Just to avoid the economy collapsing more. Strikes are cool and the government usually doesn't get involved. However, they probably would since this would affect the economy and them. So i don't see it getting to crazy or lasting weeks or months.

I get all of that.

My point is, it just shows the UAW has virtually no leverage to get the things they're demanding. And frankly, their leader is looking like a fool with all the puffing.

Unfortunately, it's not 1969.

Facts you are right. I agree with you 100%. It would be a quick strike. The big 3 are safe. It's the union that's not safe.

“3 plants in total. GM Wentzville (Van, Colorado/Canyon) Stellantis Toledo Assembly (Wrangler/Grand Cherokee) and Ford MAP (Bronco/Ranger). President chooses what local unions will strike, he chose those 3. Pussy shit I was expecting every plant to go on strike.”

Aren't the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee some of the highest inventory vehicles in the nation currently? Sitting on 100+ days of inventory.

Stellantis is probably thanking them for reducing labor costs and helping them avoid incentives on vehicles.

I don’t know what the stats say other than the Wrangler 4XE was the best selling PHEC for at least a year

I thought we’d have a contract and ford floated good enough offers.

I’m at MAP… we were supposed to have a meeting @11:30 and at 11 management told us all to pack up and go home.

Hopefully it doesn’t last long… Fn sucks.
