A year ago I had a shop paint the mirror caps and spoiler gloss black to match the grille and hood vents. They did a great job, and I was a lot happier with the car. I also installed the Nite Pony badges around that time, which I think flowed better.

Now, I’m debating whether to paint the roof the same color to match or leave it white. It looks nice as is, but the black looks great on white Nite Ponies. I definitely don’t want to do black headlamps or wheels, but I think the roof would look cool.

Top two photos are of mine. Bottom two are Nite Ponies. Thoughts?

Try 3m 2080 vinyl wrap… I did it on the ‘19 I had.. I had factory black mirror caps and rear PP1 spoiler, black hood vents like you. For the roof i needed to decide paint or wrap. I chose the wrap and glad I did because I traded it in 6 months later. Glad I didn’t waste the money on painting.

Wrap it. Then you can change it back easily.
$1,000 to wrap, $750 to paint. I’d rather just paint it. My car is outside most of the time, so I imagine wrap would fade quicker.

$1000 just to wrap a roof? I know CA is expensive but that’s crazy. Also today’s wraps are very good. Little chance of fading in your almost perfect SD weather. 👍

Thanks. I’m keeping his one another 8.5 years at least, so not worried about resale.

Go to DipYourCar.com. It's a peelable paint where you can do all sort of colors and once you are setup, you can do different colors every so often.

then you might have your answer… paint. OEM look then paint.. unsure if you will like it a year or two down the road or want to change up 3m 2080 gloss black.
