Hello there,

Is there any way to have the "Seat Belt" reminder window/screen not come up every single time you start the car ? It's not a "huge" deal, but I will say clicking on the dumb "ok" button every day is getting old.

First new Mustang I have ever owned... loving it so far.... minus this annoying screen every time I use the car.

Thanks all

My 2025 GMC Terrain has a feature that stops you from putting the vehicle in drive or reverse if you are not buckled up!
I don't know if there's a defeat mode.
I always put my belt on, so it doesn't bother me. However, today I wanted to back the Terrain out of the garage to wash it, and I had to put the belt on to do it!!!

That’s nuts!
I always wear the belt too. I am not legally required to wear a motorcycle helmet, and I won’t even ride in a parking lot without a helmet. I don’t need my transportation telling me to.

That said, the Ford splash screen is pretty intrusive and the biggest issue with it for me was refueling. If I unbelted before resetting the odometer, I’d have to belt, power cycle and fish through the menu to get to the trip meter and reset it. #FirstWorldProblems

I don't thing you need Fordcan, just deselect in settings as stated above. Not sure if warnimg tone will delete without Forscan.

You can deselect the seatbelt status display from the available gauge cluster displays, but that is different from the splash screen. The splash screen overlays the center of the dash cluster, whatever is there for at least 60 seconds or you reconnect the disconnected belt. The splash screen overlay requires forscan to eliminate.

The warning tone may be deleted as well via either FORSCAN or by following a procedure - I think the one I used was the F series procedure - works for A10 cars, but possibly not m/t cars. The procedure in the Mustang manual does not work. This isn’t new, my 17 Rap manual was also wrong, confirmed by my local stealership. I had to use FORSCAN on my Raptor. This cuts the chime, but the dash warning; the flashing read seat and occupant remains. Honestly, that’s all the reminder I need.

Just unselect it from the list in the menu and as long as you fasten your seatbelt, it will go away in one minute... no need to push the button.
Apparently, mine does not operate that way. It's not selected in the list and it doesn't go away on it's own... whether idling or driving, it's always on.
KInd of annoying to say the least....

The fact that my seat belt splash screen stays on until I click it off, probably tells me I will have to take it to the dealer to get the annoying splash screen to go away on it's own. Or, just live with it for now.. which is probably what I will do for the time being until the first oil change.

I can be buckled up before or after I start the car.. and the splash screen stays on for at least 30 minutes, which is the longest drive I have had at this point.

Thank you all for the help.

Strange, maybe try checking the box for a drive or two, then uncheck it again. worth a shot...
