Just found what looks like the first real life lighting footage of the s650 (starts at 10:30):
Maybe it's just a simple visual trick used by the designers, but the s650 looks noticably wider to me than the s550, which I love. The flared body side apparently looks way more pronounced in person.

The more videos that I see of the new mustang, the more I continue to like the design. But man, I cannot get over those stripes... who ever thought that those look good? 😆

The bolder stance the whole car has make it feel more like a muscle car than the S550 imo. Closer to the 197 did

please ford, less is more

it doesn't help that the s650 is parked next to an impeccably specced gt500 with classic stripes

I like that GT has those tiny lights inside the front grill. I thought they were only on DH.

...nice to have, but how can you have that situation and not do a proper walkaround/multiple angles/etc instead of the exact same shot(s) that we always get lol.

It's always the off-angle front quarter view...rear off-angle and not centered, no side comparison, etc lol. I honestly feel like so much of this stuff is staged/prearranged with certain rules and goals, and certain "allowances" lol.

I personally love the red/black version of these stripes 😅

The more I see the 24 the more I like it! Never really felt it with the 15-23 but the 2024 seems to press the right buttons for me.

imo the '24 fixes what issues i had with the S550, and even some i have with the S197 (live axle). Dont get me wrong, the S550 did a lot that i liked, mainly the IRS, so did the S197 with the Coyote and aggressive front. But the S550 was way to rounded at the front, it looked like a Ford Fusion (circa 2014) trying to be a sports car, it looked weird and un-mustang. the 500 did a lot to fix that by making it a way more aggressive front, but the S650 really does it for me here.

I agree. I had almost hated the S650at first, but I've really started to appreciate the car. (I do have one on order LOL) I love that they kept the Mustang heritage in the overall design - unlike the flop of a "Corvette" that Chevy had released.

I personally think they did a great job on the S550 also - great looking car.

I think i read somewhere it has to do with because of how they desgined the front they were forced to make it so that have to have those tiny lights in the grill. Wasnt a visual choice just for the sake of it but for some regulation or safety reason
