Ford is trying to achieve this 3/4 look while finally delivering on the original Kemal design that everyone loved about the sketches. I think the best plan has been pretty clear and the S650 evolution of the S550 probably had a lot to do with their competitors decision to drop the axe.

Just as the 2015 was the next obvious step in evolution and the 2018 was an improvement of that, the 2024.5 will be more than people expect. The Mustang has a very clear role for the next decade and the S650 platform and design will definitely prove that.

I like some elements of that clay model, though it pales in comparison to the earlier AMX/3 concept which was one of the best looking concepts of the early 70's.

I desperately hope Pill's rendering is completely wrong because no way in hell slapping the fat-ass of a C7 on the rear improves the looks. And the grotesque wheel arches can only come from the fevered minds of Japanese bosozoku gangs and the pontaloons that they glue on. The new GR Carolla is another example of this disgusting look for some reason the Japanese have a fetish for.

If the S650 really does look this bad I hope it destroys the brand so badly they fire the design team en masse. Hmm, that render just wholesale rips off the Ferrari F8.

The S550 and 197 look good because they are NOT a fcking wedge! Nor bean.

A car MUST have 3 sections - hood, greenhouse AND tail. When you merge the last 2 is almost always looks like garbage - unless your designer speaks Italian, in which case you might have something that doesn't projectile vomit. The C8 is also in this camp. It looks fugly and unfinished.

Quit with the rapidly rising slope lines. It looks horrible. The slope needs to be barely perceptible - you'd need a level/ruler to detect it - ie. no more than 2 inches total rise.

The Kemal Render looks like a Combination of the Mach 1 and GT500 Front Ends, but Lower, which is really nice. I’d like that. The Rear is Great too, but makes it look like the Greenhouse has been Pulled-In like a LeMan type Race Car with Wide Flat Top Fender Hips in Back and also in the Front. The Hood Bump is kind of Large for me, but does provide room for Predator Type Engines. Overall, this would make a Great 650.

The Upper Photo is Too Much Camaro/C8. Not enough Recognizable Mustang for me.

I agree, that render is not appealing at all. And based on what we've seen so far, that render looks way off.

It will be very, very similar to Fords 2013 CAD data. Trust me, there won’t be many here that don’t immediately jump ship as soon as it is unveiled.

I do like the Headlights in this one with the Inward Eyeball! Looks like it means some Serious Business!

Changed the Lower Openings to Incorporate Fog/Running/Turn Signal and Swept the Outer Lower Lines Forward.

I think what he's getting at is it will be sleeker, and more modern looking than the s550. I don't think he's trying to suggest that it's going to look exactly like that rendering, as we know that isn't going to be the case.
