So what is everybody using in the US?

FL500s is still widely sold in the US. But I did hear somebody say his dealership put something else inside. So yeah, dealers my use some other filter that also works. But I prefer to stick to the parts written in the manual.

Just did my 2nd OC and I'm once again using PUP 5w-30 and a Motorcraft FL-500S filter P/N AA5Z-6714-A. This is the 14 fluted variety.

One thing I did discover is that MotivX Tools sells a very high quality tool which fits this filter perfectly. It's not cheap, but it's a nice tool..
