Oil filter is different

I had the oil and filter changed at a Ford dealership and the filter was not as recommended in the owner's manual for 5.0. They replaced the filter recommended for the Ford EcoBoost.it was FL21somthing, not FL500S, I spoke to them and told them about it. They told me that the filter they installed is specific to your car. I told them the manual says otherwise. They replied that it is from the factory. Basically, Ford did not install the filter on the FL500s.
Any one knows the filter number that came from factory with the car?
And is it fine to use them filter?

Just show them the manual which says that this one is for the ecoboost and this one is for the GT.

Page 311 of my 2025 manual says the FL-2127 filter is for the 2.3 Ecoboost.

Page 312 says the FL-500-S is for the 5.0

EDIT; FL-2127 is an approved replacement and an actual upgrade for the FL-500

It sounds like they put the wrong filter on your GT.

I use the smaller filter on my DH all the time. It is identical to the one that was installed at the factory. I do not know why factory did not use the "standard coyote" filter, but they did not.

I agree the owners manual shows the FL500, and catalogs show the same.

This was an issue on my first oil change, took a bit to see what was done at the factory and followed what they installed, the ecoboost filter every time. Have my 4th one coming up in another 1,000 miles.

Your pic shows FL-2121 not FL-2127.

I have some leftover 2127's from my old '24 Ecoboost and they prly will work fine on my new GT, but want to be extra careful to avoid Ford cancelling my warranty should an issue occur.

Good eye! The 1 looked like a 7, and I was more wrapped up reading the posts surrounding the pics.

That all said, I am going with my trusted Mobil 1 Synthetic Extended Life oil and Mobil 1 M1-212A filter for my first and subsequent oil changes. My dealer lets me supply any oil and filter I want, so I’m not locked in.

Unfortunately, the new filter is number 2133 and is a replacement for the 500 S. This filter is for Ford agents in the Middle East and Australia for sure. I do not know about the rest of the countries. of course,
This is what the spare parts employee at the dealer confirmed to me. He said that it is a step towards saving money by the Ford company, as this filter is manufactured in China.
