It could be a good way to judge how many users to expect on Monday? They could easily track how many times the button has been used.

The handling package comes with the wider aluminum wheels and sticky tires. The carbon fiber wheels add on which just swaps those aluminum wheels for the carbon fiber is 8500

The carbon fiber wheels are separate for $8500. The build sheets and order guides are available on this forum with all pricing.

i think the confusion here is that the carbon fiber wheels require the handling pack in order to option so going from a base dark horse to the carbon wheels the total price would be 13000.

kind of like how from base the blue ember paint is an almost 4,000 option because it requires DH appearance (1250) which requires the 700A (2595)

That makes total sense. Just didn't understand their $10,000 number it sounded like poppy thought you HAD to get the carbon fiber if you got the handling package.

That is possible. The only other reason I can think of right now is they are generating awareness. By adding the button, people know there is something about to happen vs it just appearing on the website and no one knows.
