SuperDust® pads, i believe.
in all seriousness, it's probably some compound engineered by Brembo, here are the part numbers for the pad kits if you are looking for replacements
front: PR3Z-2001-C
rear main: PR3Z-2200-D
rear park: PR3Z-2200-C

AS much as I prefer to change my own brake pads and rotors when needed, I'm hearing the swap out on the 24's is a real PITA. Quandary 😕

Thanks! I'm just curious if I can run them at the track at all or if I'll immediately have to swap to G-Loc brakes. My friend has the Camaro track package and they come with decent brake pads for the track (lasted him about half a season before he had to switch). Was curious if the DH was the same.

they are really good brake pads, but I don't know how good for the track. I do autocross and it works great

The handling pack brakes were awesome at the track - impressed the hell out of me. No brake fade at all and allowed me to brake the car later and later into the turns than I thought was physically possible . . . surprising, really.

I don't know how long they last, though. I have not owned the car that long and have only been to one track day.

OEM pads will be Ford only (Ford blue box and not Motorcfraft red box). The friction combination on all Ford vehicles has to pass the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) braking test in accordance with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS). OEM brake pads (regardless of brand) are the only brake pads that are required to take this test and pass. The friction compound they choose will be different for the front and back to help balance the car. Ford has followed this balancing method this for decades on all vehicles (cars and trucks). The test are much different for performance brake needs. While the OEM pads may be made by a manufacturer like Brembo, Wagner, Abex, PFC, etc… it is for to Ford’s specs and is a proprietary compound. There will be an aftermarket version like the Motorcraft (red box), Brembo, Hawk, etc… and it will have a single friction compound used on the front and back pads. They offset things with more aggressive braking profiles. The variations in pads will be your typical ceramic, high temp, track only, and reduced dust types of pads.

You are saying these are the Ford OEM pads?
Correct. OEM pads on the Mach 1 and Dark Horse, both regular and HP, are Ferodo 2500's. Lots of dust but are a terrific "beginner" pad on the track.

Edit: Ferodo DS2500

The back of the OEM pads have both the Ford part number and Ferodo's.

I changed the front and rear pads on the 24 DH with PowerStop Z23 or Z26. I've used them on all my Mustangs and have never been disappointed.

Aren't they AKEBONO?

Uh, oh.

We have a conflict.

Normally I look on RockAuto.com to determine OEM parts, but neither of these two is listed as the equipment for a Dark Horse handling package, and I cannot figure out what is the OEM pad. Usually it is pretty easy to figure out on RockAuto.
