This is peak pessimism, they’ll be pumping them out by the 1000s in no time.
shout out to FRAP!
Initial production run of customer cars for the model year. Usually 1/2 thru the model year they make can make adjustments/changes and start job 2. Whenever you see something that says “late availability” that’s often something planned for job 2.What does Job 1 represent?
Took me 8 months to get my C8 after initial depositFeel bait and switched. If I knew I was going to wait I would have ordered a c8 but I thought I would be at least having a date soon
Think youd be waiting longer for a C8 thoughFeel bait and switched. If I knew I was going to wait I would have ordered a c8 but I thought I would be at least having a date soon
Hope the union is still getting the workers paid while they wait on FORD to get things right.Another week with no VIN, build week, or even an email saying "sorry". Its all good as long as this is the best built Mustang the world has ever seen. FRAP employees, we are all looking forward to seeing your craftsmanship roll off the assembly line. For the rest of us....the wait goes on....
Most likely, they had to file for unemployment (if they so choose), as it's considered a furlough.Hope the union is still getting the workers paid while they wait on FORD to get things right.
This is a total cluster.... Before I got the call to order my C8, there were like 3 shutdowns, including the tornado with numerous constraints on parts and options.. But well worth the wait, so I'm taking this with a grain of salt, ordered my mustang on 3/27, first one at the dealership. Still no build date or vin... oh well..Most likely, they had to file for unemployment (if they so choose), as it's considered a furlough.
At least that's what happens during regularly scheduled shut downs every Summer for retooling.
Even for salaried workers, at GM for example, they have to use their vacation time for the Summer shut down.
