okay so you just replied to the wrong person then doubled down, i see the mixup.

The Wheels I'm looking at don't come in 10... they come in 10.5 (which is why I'm looking at 19x9.5) and putting a 285 on it might cause some fitment issues.
honestly if youre set on squared setup and those are the only options id say go with the 9.5s if you dont plan on hard driving the car very often, when it comes to tire size the best thing you can do is go to the tire manufacturers website for whatever tire you want, they have rim width requirements for their tires listed, both Michelin and Nitto recommend a 275/35 or 275/40 tire on a 9.5 rim.

if youre planning on spirited driving or performance use id recommend finding a different wheel you like as the 275 can be lacking under high performance use and a 10.5 runs the risk of rubbing up front without a spacer.

Wow... such spirited conversation... Let me see if I can clear up any confusion...
The wheels that came with the car are just OK. I looking to upgrade my wheels to a more aggressive look and a little bit wider foot print. The car will not be tracked at any time. My car is a GT Premium 401a package. No PP. I've been looking at the Savini Black Di Forza BM14 Machined Black wheels in 19x9.5 ( BM14 Machined Black - Savini Wheels ). The next size up is the 19x10.5, but I am told that size might cause some fitment issues and I don't want to go with 20" wheels. I want to do a square setup, not staggered as I don't want to have to buy 2 different tire sizes. As for the tires, I haven't decided yet, but I have always like the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric A/S. I'm looking at 275/35/19 for the tire size but wanted to get some advice/opinions from you guys since some of you have already done what I'm about to do and I just wanted to see what you guys did and see what issues, if any there would be. As always, your feedback/opinions are welcomed. Thanks guys!

I would want to see a slightly taller tire in there, 26.6" might leave you with more wheelgap than you want

My advice is to take time to keep learning about all these fitment issues. It's a bit overwhelming at first. With around a $2500 purchase, you really only get one good shot at this upgrade.

IMO, a 10" wheel up front with 285 tire is about the maximum without extra clearance challenges. The tire will be flush with the fender, and the tire will just clear the strut.

If you choose a 10" rim with ~40 offset for the rear wheel, then you will also need longer front studs and a 1/2" thick slip-on spacer for the same wheel at the front. This wheel setup will look flush to the fender and not rub the strut. Then you can rotate your tires.

As for your wheel style, can you find something similar that you like but in 10" wide? I think maybe one reason several of us are recommending 10" is what was already said - that these cars need more front tire, and going from your OEM setup to 9.5" is really no extra tire patch for your $2500+. Get it?

The wheel I like (19" wheels) is either 9.5 or 10.5 width. There is no 10" wide option. If I want 10" wide, then I need to go to a 20" wheel which I do not want to do. The 9.5 provides me the best option without having to worry about spacers or studs or any other alterations (I think). This is my daily driver and I don't drive like an idiot. A little spirited here and there, but nothing that would push the cars performance or handling characteristics.

This I don't know... I was speaking with a vendor who sells these and was advised that the 10.5 would cause fitment issues taking into account that I would be putting a 285 size tire on it. Since I want a square setup, it was recommended that I go with 19x9.5.

If you won't go to the track, then 275/40 on 9.5 will work very well for you. I ran two square sets of wheels that way for a long time. One with A/S tires for daily and one with summer tires for track.

Offset on my track wheels are 52mm. I use 1/2" spacer with ARP 100-7732 studs up front and open-ended splined lugs.

Not if you have $5,000 in your pocket ... :)

Which brand? You need this info to make an informed decision. If it ends up being a 9.5" for the front I wouldn't go above a 275 tire. A 285 will fit but won't be optimal, especially for the front.

I haven't decided on the tires yet, but they will probably be 275/35/19 all the way around. Maybe 275/40/19 depending on which is readily available and at a reasonable price.

Don't go with the Goodyears, they are junk. If you want all seasons go with the Conti DWS 06+ or the Michelin All Seasons. You will not be disappointed.
Also agree with the 9.5 inch wheels with 275/40-19.

Sorry I meant the brand of wheels. If you do the 275/35/19 I would do a minimum drop Steeda spring. You will have even more of a wheel arch gap

That is correct.... unless I go with a 275/40/19 tire....
