Need pics and detail to run wire to battery please

i have not worked on cars in a while, (im getting old now-LOL) i need to run a hot lead from the trunk up to the battery for a powered sub. I heard about going through a grommet to battery to get to it. Can someone please post detailed info and pics of where to run this wire to and from to get it to the battery. Hoping to not have to tear too much apart but just need the one wire for a hot lead as simple as possible please. Or if you are in Phoenix and can run it for me, let me know! thank you!
