A lot of youtube reviews do not have the CFTP. Having had both versions it makes quite a big difference. Just saying..

I do like the GTD a lot though. I just can't afford one :)

Call me shallow, but I'd get a GTD on looks alone. Never been keen on the GT500 look.

I thought it was an interesting video. I figured they'd be more similar than not since they are both supercharged variants of the 5.2 engine. But apparently they are two very different cars. Saying the GTD feels like an Italian super car, compared to the Shelby that feels like a suped up muscle car is high praise.

That part is pretty similar. But the cantilever rear suspension with those DSSV dampers, gearing, weight balance, extra track width and even larger tires are big differences.

Add onto that the one thing I dearly wish they could find it within the budget to do for the mustang in general....an actual honest to goodness SLA front suspension and you get another world of handling and feel.

They’ve been out for months now (GTD) and I’ve yet to see 1 verifiable metric other than the ring lap…

people are doing an incredible job of NOT showing us what this car actually does from a dig/roll.

I mean....its not really an important metric for a track car. It's the antithesis of a drag car. Plus the programmed break-in is going to intentionally throttle any dig racing attempts until the mileage is met.

So is a GT2RS… but the owners seem to have no problem showing how fast they are from a dig/roll

keep waiting to see I guess.

Yes. It's all a conspiracy to cover up how slow it is. 🙄
