in stop light encounters .....Mustangs going to lose that battle unless you have some serious upgrades with the traction to back it up.....
A couple weeks ago I pulled up next to one at a stop light with my wife in the passenger seat. She asked, "Are you gonna race him?" I said, "No, I looked up the numbers, and he'll beat me. Still won't ever sound as good though. Those corvette engines sound like your vibrator."

But if she replies with ‘and the new one has a battery’, there may be something else afoot.

What about combining some names and calling this new car the Dark Boss Horse Cobra Raptor? That name just rolls off the tongue.
IMO...and its just my opinion....Boss or Dark Horse doesn't have the gravitas or panache that the name Cobra or GT500 has. I know from hearing others...that the GT500 name is out, and I'm ok with that as long as its called the Cobra! Hissssssssss!

Hisss…. Flat tire?

j/k: couldn’t resist. Which is older boss or cobra? Which has a rich history of the unexpected mystery?

just realized those brake rotors are drilled. is this going to be another GT350 scenario where a couple years later they're going to switch to solid again? it looks like it could be quite capable on the track, and from what i've heard, drilled rotors + track time = cracked rotors

The new prototype looks like it's hiding it's bulge a little better. :giggle:
The old GT350 was packing some heat. 😅

if i remember right, this GT350 was actually a test mule for the 7.3L manual transmission control pack. supposedly, the only reason there was even that hood thing was because they didn't have the low profile intake manifold at the time

TLDR, people need to stop talking about what Ford could have have given us and just go drive their damn car. I'm sorry but it really peeves me when I see all these complaints, especially coming from fellow owners, who clearly wouldn't be satisfied even if they got what they were asking for. If you don't like it buy something else. This isn't a Model T situation where you have one single choice...
It's ok. I don't mind reading your thoughts on this discussion forum. No need to apologize. You are 100% right that I'm never completely satisfied and always hoping for Ford (or really any car manufacturer) to build a better vehicle than what I currently own.

I will continue driving my 2017 GT and my 2021 LT1 for now. I was considering trading both for a low miles C7 Grand Sport, but with less than 7,000 miles and in like new condition, the GS I test drove this summer was a complete rattle trap. I was shocked at how quiet and nice the Camaro felt when I got back in it to drive home.

I will keep looking.

I see a lot C8s in my area. I don't think I've ever seen a guy under 50 driving one.
I'm old enough to qualify, but there's no manual transmission in the C8, so I wouldn't even consider one. Maybe if someone offered a do-it-yourself kit to swap in a manual I would try out a Z06. The engine seems awesome.
