Hello community,

I have suddenly noticed low coolant water under the hood and got worried that there might be a leak, so i scheduled a check up date at the dealer’s main branch next week to fully check the car, however today i went to a sub branch and they checked under the car and told me there is no leak. The following photos are when they added more water and the next photo where water got reduced the next day immediately. The below minimum is where i noticed the problem intially.

Should i stop driving my stang temporarily till the scheduled maintenance date? Thanks in advance.

Did they add water when the engine was warm/hot?
If so, this is why it's down when cold.

Raise the hood, check the level (top off if needed), start the car, let it get to operating temp, check the level, if below low add coolant while engine is running, let engine continue to run, watch engine temp to make sure it does not continue to climb, check level, reinstall coolant lid, shut off engine, let sit for 30 minutes, recheck level. If level is above low, coolant level is sufficient. If level below low repeat a second time, if coolant continues to stay below low check under car for fluid or watch for white smoke from the exhaust. Little bit of condensation steam in the morning or upon first start is normal but shouldn’t last more than 30 seconds or so unless outside temp is below freezing.

@azo0ozi ..... I hope they didn't just add water they should have added a mixture of coolant and water or a pre-mixed coolant. Check several times yourself on a flat surface. BTW Great advice from @Zig
