Hi

the build I did online comes to be about $65k with all the options. I know we have the $2k incentive and the 0% going on currently.

In general, are these pretty much going for msrp or can I shoot for 5-7% additional off the msrp?

thanks

Just my opinion, so take it as that. I have never once paid MSRP for any car and won't ever. People tend to get what they expect when it comes to negotiation.....my observation. Any car salesman that can't read your expectations in about two minutes or less, isn't going to make it.

You need to leave your emotion at home, your expectations high and be willing to walk and shop. I would start at $55K or a little less and stick with it. Mustangs aren't selling and they are in the sales business. Take your gonads with you, be nice, be professional, and be serious. If you aren't serious, don't go. Don't be the enemy of yourself. Expect a miracle and stay away from "applies to all people" deals of any kind but employee pricing or the like. No percentages at all.

I think Ford is still doing Employee pricing…that knocks a bit off.

Negotiate a price before disclosing how you are paying for it or including a trade-in.

I think its better overall to find something close to your build sitting on the lot. They are more eager to get rid of inventory, and you don’t have to wait.

Pricing is based on region. Get on the ford site, find what you like and start sending calls/emails. PP cars are rare in my state and ones optioned nicely don’t last long on lots. Best of luck !!!!!

I think it will be sticker at about $62k and probably knocked down to $57/$58k.

I see that you are in California where things are more expensive than other parts of the country, but here is an example in near me in TX to a Black 25 GT Premium with PP for $58K and you might be able to get them down from there:
https://www.ford.com/inventory/details/mustang/vin/1FA6P8CF1S5415439/USA|02479|F52010|F/76132?lead=link&qrcid=qr-si-vdpshare-fv-si-vdp&spotBuy=true
Exactly. I don't know about California but my numbers came from the car I bought in Arizona in June. 62K sticker and down to 56 or 57 with "discount."

If you looking for a PP your best bet may be to negotiate and then order a car to your liking. In CA 25 PP cars tend to be 300a/301a cars or 400a/401a cars with a bunch of options. I could not find what I wanted earlier this year so I ordered. Took three months to deliver, but got what I wanted.

Were you able to get the 'employee pricing' discount on a custom order?

Yes, they let me use the incentives available at the time of delivery. I lucked out. I was more interested in getting the car optioned the way I wanted instead of getting the best deal possible.
