With supercharging and now tuning, was wondering how many of you are satisfied with leaving the car "as is" with no modifications ? As for me, I am happy with the performance, comfort, and fun it offers.

Similar boat. I really don't need much more, its optioned with everything I wanted besides the Tremec. At most, swapping to a tremec in the future, but the whole point of this car for me is to be a good GT for driving long distances with a rock solid reliable motor, comfortable seats, and decent dynamics. Will eventually throw winters on it.

The mustang is one of the last cars on the market that I could see myself doing most maintenance or repairs on, its a decent mix of old school and new school. No turbos, not a crazy tight engine bay, no wet belts, it has a dipstick, manual transmission, RWD.

It's also got the biggest brakes I've ever seen on a car short of performance SUV's. Those Brembo's are dirt nasty

I bought the car with the intention of Supercharging it, I decided against it for a bunch of reasons.

I don't think any tuner has been able to get much more out of a stock 7G car than Ford has it tuned for, as many have opined Ford is already squeezing everything out of the engine NA that they can (within EPA limits) and outside of transmission shift point improvements the cost of a tune does not justify the cost.

For what I do with my car, stock is fine, I know there are different modes that make the car interesting including running in track mode on the street.

As rob said, what fun is that? A stock car gets boring as can be after a while. A mod here and there is fun to me.

So far , so good.
Tinted windows has been all I've done.

Something about an "All Factory Original" aging like a fine wine. At some point it becomes the MOST desired form for any car...

This of course is more for those who plan on keeping long term. The fun comes with the good times had with it and the memories tied to that fun.

I did this. I like to play with my knob and that one is so smooth and comfy.

Past that, I wish my EB had a little more growl. I like the quiet no drone it has on the highway, But want a little more exhaust note when the throttle is down. I am thinking of the Borla S cat back.

i am doing a full sound system. if that counts.

but performance wise, the 300is HP is just perfect for me. I had a 350Z at 287hp and it was considered a rocket. And this car feels so much faster.

I bought my Mustang knowing I was going to modify it. A little over a year later I've already installed the Roush supercharger, full exhaust from the headers back, cold air intake, wheels and so on. Now I'm shopping for a fuel system so I can get a E85 tune in this thing.

There's always been a hard core modding sub culture with Mustangs, and that's fine.

I got sucked into the tuning world with my S197 and had nothing but problems and BS from the tuner. My last S550 had modified suspension and it was never right and caused me a lot of headaches.

For as good as the S650 is out of the box, I have no desire to mess with anything on my car from a performance standpoint. The car rides and handles great, has great power, and there just isn't much to gain from a tune anyway. I'm perfectly happy leaving a good thing alone and enjoying the car unmolested.

I agree, but modding a car can also get boring. I've heavily modded several cars in my lifetime, but it never seems to be enough. Regardless of what I've done, I always want to do more. I've found that no matter what I do, someone else will always be a little faster. It's an easy rabbit hole to go down. It's so easy for me to get caught up in the horsepower game. At almost 77 years of age, you'd think I'd know better. Admittedly, I've thought about adding a blower. Don't really need any additional horsepower, but I'm a 17-year old trapped in an old man's body.

Nope, no modding will take place I suspect other than tinted windows, catch can, and a radar detector if those are even considered mods. I use radar detectors in any car I drive. I don't like the "cat and mouse game" that LEO plays but understand why they do it. Of course, it's always because of other people and too many places do it for revenue enhancement and I'll never be convinced otherwise.

I bought a Mustang because, for me, it is comfortable on my back which has had surgery, and it will allow me to drive more defensively on long trips (keep away from other cars easily). It has plently of HP to get anyone in trouble for a street car and I use it as point A to point B driving my way. I don't like to be taunted by kid street racers.

I've been fast, competed, and it's out of my system. Racing is for race vehicles, street driving is for street vehicles. I like to keep up with what's going on with Mustangs here.

I had to get rid of the summer tires, but that's been it.

As soon as I got my car I knew exactly what appearance mods I had to do. Front Splitter, rear and side louvers, black out panel, and a better spoiler.…and strut tower brace. My wife thought I was crazy until I got it all on…now she can’t picture the car without them.

Other than little stuff like cargo mat, cargo net, GT floormats, random doo-dads, etc. I’m set.

Performance mods? Hell, it’s got nearly 200 more hp than my 06 GT, so I’m good.

My 06 GT had Flowmasters, JLT CIA and SCT tune. it gave me a little bump in hp, better throttle response and zero problems in 17 years of driving it. This new GT has so many bells and whistles, and gobs more hp, I’m set for quite a while.
