1) oiled air filters contaminate sensors

2) to get more air flow they reduce the filtering

3) the engine can't use all the air that you could theoretically pull the stock filters now, even boosted.

Mafs can be easily cleaned and should be yearly. Also the s650 only uses the mafs for error checking. They dont control fueling anymore like the older gens, so thats not really a concern like it would be on a maf v per car like the gen1-3.

On the S650 sure the intakes arent the restriction. But in boosted applications you are literally forcing more air into the cylinders than you would NA and thats what the whole point is. The faster you can get air in and out, the better.

At a family race engine building shop and a friends engine building shop 90% of oiled filters that came in were badly or improperly maintained resulting in definite loss of power and likely increased engine wear. Just a gimmick. Replace oem OFTEN - or - get an AFE (or like quality) dry washable filter. Great longevity, great air flow and great anti-wear for engine.
