It’s been a while since other drivers throw compliments to us on our car…..kinda’ nice, you know?

We were in the 4th of July parade yesterday, (right behind a 1959 Pontiac Bonneville convertible that was really nice). Lots of compliments and thumbs up from people on the parade route. At the announcer stand as we were coming up they called out "leave some space" and then "the crowd wants to hear that beautiful Mustang roar so give us some revs!" Lots of cheers from the crowd, and some kids calling out "we want to see a burnout!"

People always stopped me to rave about my 06 GT. I had it as a 70 Boss tribute style.

I think my 25 looks just as sharp. But haven’t gotten any verbal compliments…but I have seen heads turn. But I love looking at it walking up to it in the parking lot as much as my ‘06.

My friend, Corvette owner :-), said "I can hear you coming from a block away". Full disclosure - as I slow to make a turn onto his street I paddle shift down from 3rd or 4th to 1st the get the Mustang barks and pops. It makes him nuts - just another Mustang bonus.....and as for @GrabThatBlue every time I drive somewhere I get compliments. I always appreciate the compliments and give a thank you back. A little boy yelled-out to me while he was walking through a park with his parents. I turned around, let him look at the engine and let him sit in the driver's seat. His parents took a picture. Took me about 15 minutes. No I didn't build it but I think 99.9% of the people that see me driving it know that already. My guess is that they are complimenting my purchase and options ..... and BTW haven't you posted a $hitload of pictures of YOUR car??????? Oh yeah, well, I guess that's another story, right? You are usually rather positive - did you get a bit of heatstroke? BTW ll I was driving through a mall and there was a vintage Mustang there. People waved me over and wanted to compare two Mustang convertibles that were about 60 years apart. Did that make me feel good? Yes it did..... and IMO there is no flag on that play - no matter what you might think.

I get compliments on the color (vapor) quite often, but when I take my foxbody out it’s all the time, and it’s not just compliments, seems like everyone used to own one and they want to tell long stories etc…..

Strangers will be like “I had one JUST like that!”

Here in south Florida there are so many Mustang convertibles that are
local rentals that I think my GT just blends into the background, sigh...

We returned home this weekend from a trip to northern Minnesota, Oklee, MN. A town of about 435 people. Up there I believe there aren't a lot of 2024/2025 Mustangs in town. While there, I received a couple of complements on our Mustang. One was from a neighbor nearby where our car was parked, and the other was from a young boy riding his bike who said that our Mustang looked cool.

On occasion a cashier at a convenience store will ask me what year our car is. comment on how nice our car looks, or share a story with me on someone they know who also drives s sharp car.

I do not think it is compliments, so much, as folks just excited to see my car. It has been years since I had a car where folks would drive up beside and shout things and roll down their window and give a thumbs up.

My last one was a 1966 Pontiac GTO (many years ago).

I was a little shocked so many folks would be excited about this car, but they are. I smile and wave back.

That's weird. There was a Mustang exactly like that in the supermarket car park next to my wife's car about a year ago. I complimented the older female owner on how good it looked.
Never thinking that a year later I'd have one too.

It's not negative at all. I'm getting compliments for work that other did just sound crazy.

It's different if you buy and choose interior objects that you haven't made yourself, but placing them in a way that makes your house look good. If people compliment me for that, I will gladly see that as a compliment because I made the house look the way I placed all those stuff.

But taking compliments on a car that I haven't made just sound crazy to my ears.
Purchasing your house is almost the same as purchasing your Mustang.
I assume someone else built your house just like someone else built your Mustang.
You just added modes to your 🏠 house
Land Scaping grass, etc.
It’s no different than adding modes to your Mustang.
It is what it is.
Enjoy the Ride
You have a right to tell people who complement your Mustang that you didn’t build it just like you have every right to tell people who complement your house you didn’t build it.
