It’s been a while since other drivers throw compliments to us on our car…..kinda’ nice, you know?

Coming from a '19 Z06, I was pleasantly surprised at the number of compliments and "thumbs up" I get from people. I was driving to church this past Sunday morning when a guy in a VW SUV goes by me and gives me a thumbs up. I get a lot of compliments on the Vapor Blue at stoplights.

There are several stereotypes that are very well known.

Just off the bat, mustang drivers can't control their cars,
mustang drivers are boomers,
mustang drivers couldn't afford a corvette

I hear/heard these in passing all the time over the last decade or so.
One of the nicest compliments I’ve received for our Mustang was from the driver of a C8 in the same color combination as ours. I gave him a nice one too, as we looked so GREAT next to each other in downtown traffic!

The locals don't care, but the tourists do.
That's interesting. Without revealing your location, is it a fairly wealthy place? I would have thought the only example of a flashy style of car would get a lot of local attention.

The locals are poor, but the investors that live here and the thousands of retired Americans and Europeans are rich. But it's a very small island with bad roads, so people don't care about cars here because you can't even find a road whith speed signs higher than 50km/h
