Do you mean do a full on 120v inverter install?Anyone know how difficult it would be to replace the cigarette lighter outlet with a 125 outlet?
Something along these lines or something a little more permanent?Sorry lol I dunno where the he’ll I got 125
I mean I wanna replace the cigarette lighter outlet with a 110v plug.
I want to keep it as close as possible.
Amps to wattsI can't tell you how bad of an idea this is! The wire size is typically #14 AWG, and sometimes as small as #16AWG. Making matters worse, the wire is bundled with other under dash wiring, and over loading any vehicle wiring is asking for a catastrophic fire.
There are safe ways to provide 120 VAC in a vehicle safely, and Ford offers several vehicles with inverters. But the Mustang is not one of them! If you want it to be, you need professional help, not some sort of plug in anything.
1.5 x 110 =165 watts?According to the above post 180W max, you are looking at about 1.5A with one of those 110 plug-in inverters
I said about... technically 1.636363636363636363636363636~1.5 x 110 =165 watts?
Not saying you was wrong was indicating it’s watts we’re afterI said about... technically 1.636363636363636363636363636~
Unless it’s dc, as in usb. Yes acknowledged redundant, but some have a distributed pass through. I wouldn’t necessarily power a dorm room fridge but a laptop not a problem. But dunno what op wants to power.12V 15A = 180W
110V 1.63636363A = 180W
So whatever you plug into the 110 should not exceed 1.63636A
