How to keep pre collision off, I am about to get rid of this gt because of how annoying it is. I turn it off and when I start Car back on it’s on. Please help it is ruining this car because of how harsh this breaking it is when I get close to a car, worst setting ever

is it braking when you have cruise engaged? Adaptive cruise can be a little... coarse in its adjustments.

I have mine at where at least it doesn’t brake for me but warns me. It’s annoying where you would try and back into places and it would brake and make you look like you couldn’t drive. Especially when you have tons of clearance

After looking at your posted photo; I respectfully suggest you turn all that Nanny BS off.

That's what I did before driving my GT off the dealer's lot and the pre collision thing has never reactivated.

You might wish to consult with your dealer as well; good luck!

Gonna go to the dealer sometime next week. Taking a trip to Brazil. Appreciate all the feedback everyone but today was the the last straw. Had a cake on my passenger seat and out of nowhere the car breaked so hard and the cake flew.

Take it to the dealer. Something isn’t working as intended. I agree with Wiley Marmot, turn everything on the screen off. The “assistance” is overwhelming for the first couple of months.

I'm not you, but I'd just turn down the sensitivity, but otherwise leave it be. If you do just turn it down, and it still goes off, you're too close to the person in front of you. I leave the one in my Ranger on max, and more than once it paid off.

When is this happening? I've had this car for over a year and it has never applied the brakes for me. One time, someone else (not me) was driving like a bit of an asshat and swerving through lanes kind of quickly and when passing a car, the screen flashed red and said something like "pre-collision warning" or something (they) don't remember exactly.

It's surprising to me someone is wanting to sell the car for a feature/issue I've never noticed. Are you parallel parking a lot? Live in a crowded city?

Agree. Very rarely warns (and even then pretty obvious why).

If it is going off all the time then it would suggest driving is the issue - wait for the 'my driving is the best in the world', followed by a flurry of insults!
