The following video is not exactly a forscan instructional video, but it is the absolute first step in making approach lighting work and should give you some kind of idea of what you'll be getting into by attempting this procedure.

Just an update on this,

I was able to turn on the welcome lighting as well as approach lighting following the guides.

I do aggree with WhooptieDo that the time out seems fast and the lights aren't staying on long enough to my liking but I am happy that it is functioning regardless.

Thank you!

Hi all,

I am new to the forum and have been reading into these topics the last days.

I found this in the excel sheet. Can that may be extend the timing of the light show aka approach lights?

I tried doing it like in the video today but ForScan did not list the LDCMA and LDCMB. Had some issues showing all blocks in the PCM as well. Updated ForScan but LDCMA and LDCMB still do not show up.

Yes, the second time I started ForScan it remembered the vehicle, just like in the video. But it was not showing LDCMA/B the first either if I remember correctly.

So approach lighting works. Thanks!

I wish it would start from a bit further away already. Walking head on to the vehicle I am pretty much at the nose of the vehicle when it starts.

Trying to find the rear light setting.

Did you ever figure out the tail lights?

Nope, but it might due to the fact that this car had aftermarket headlamps installed. Hence, I could not find LDCMA/B in the ForScan Modules. Confronted the dealer with it but nothing more I could do on that unfortunately.

I know there's been some talk about Approach Lighting in the main spreadsheet thread, but didn't see where anyone had actually gotten it to work.

If you're unfamiliar with Approach Lighting, it is simply the vehicle turning on the Welcome Lighting when the key fob has been away from the vehicle and then comes near it again. There will no longer be a need to unlock the doors with either the key fob or via the door handle to get the welcome lighting to display.

Disclaimer:
As with anything Forscan related and the multitude of different trim levels and options available on these cars, YMMV.
This is what worked for me on my 2024 Dark Horse 600A with handling package after I had previously enabled welcome lighting by following the instructions in a popular YouTube video.
My car had neither welcome lighting, nor approach lighting, enabled when I picked it up at the dealer.

APIM 7DO-09-01 xxx* xxxx xx--
IPC 720-01-01 xxxx xxxx *x--
For both of these addresses, you'll want to compare your current value with the spreadsheet and select the new value accordingly.
You want to keep all of the functions the same (enabled or disabled), except that ADCF needs to be enabled.

BCM 726-18-01 x*x* x*x* x*--
BCM 726-27-01 x*xx xxxx xx--
BCM 726-45-01 xxxx xxxx x*--
Change all the *'s to 1

Follow forscan's instructions and cycle the key after each module is written.
Once complete, you should be able to exit the vehicle, lock the doors, and walk 15 to 20ft away from it.
When you walk back towards the vehicle, the welcome lighting should come on once the key fob is detected.

Hope this works for others here on the forum!!
Thank you so much for the information; I've been looking for a long time for how to do this. The only problem I have is that when I turn off my car, the daytime running lights stay pink, and I don't like it. I'd like to know if you have a solution for this, or if someone could share a picture of their configuration so I can compare the values and see if something on my car is different.

Do you have the Dark Horse or GT Premium welcome lighting sequence activated?
