HELP - '24 GT Convertible is dead

Thanks for the tip. I just went out to check on it. Still no progress. I left the hood up, re-did the connections, and turned it back on. I will check it again in a couple hours. If that doesn't produce results I will call roadside assistance tomorrow.

Just throwing this out there for clarity, the car should be off and the charger on during a trickle charge session.

No sure about a battery exchange without the car, as in not sure they will swap a carry in battery.

How many amps is your charger? That greatly affects the time needed. Though it might need a stronger charge to wake it back up, if it can be at this point.

Putting a jump pack on the battery isn't going to hurt anything. I've used one 3 times on my wife's Nautilus with no issues, (back when the car had an infotainment drain, which was resolved)

As far as I'm concerned having a Battery Tender on a modern car is just the way it is.

I will most likely pick up a jump starter after dealing with this. Not a bad thing to have around. Apparently the 5 amp was not enough to wake up a completely dead battery in this car.

As I said earlier, can't do a regular battery tender in my situation.

I have a 24GT vert. I keep it over the summer in the garage without touching it. Starts right up when I get back.

Mine is a PP. It doesn't have auto on/off tech. I have no dash camera.

When you first tried to start it, did any dash lights, or anything, come on?
I've topped up mine using the aux contacts and it worked fine.

When you say absolutely nothing, what do you mean? Is in not charging? Did you check the voltage?

If the battery is toast, roadside assistance isn't going to be able to help you. If you don't have a volt meter, I'd pull it out and take it to your local auto parts store and have it checked. Otherwise you're looking at a tow to the dealer, which is pretty unnecessary for a battery replacement.

I would call the dealer and use their mobile service, if they have it.

Just for clarity, car was completely without power. No dash lights. No sounds. Window didn't even move down when I opened the door or pulled the handle. Nothing at all. After 4 hours on the charger, nothing changed.

And just to add, no aftermarket stuff of any sort. Car is stock. It was only sitting for 10 total days since last started. Moderate temperature, covered garage. This car has sat for longer than this before with no problems. I don't know of anything that could have been left on by me that could have drained it.

by chance have you tried the negative disconnect reboot? I know you said it does nothing but you might try disconnecting the negative from the battery press the ignition button and then reconnect everything and retry. Or you can try disconnect the leads and then connect the tender directly to the battery. Sounds like it might take a new battery to get it to the shop so they can say battery but unless a drain is found not much else. Load test the battery doesn’t help when you’re stuck. Do you use the motion detection alert?

I would do nothing other than make a phone call to the dealer and have them come get it and fix it under warranty. I would be putting 0 effort into getting it going myself.

Batteries on this car are junk. But also the way this car eats the batteries is also bad. Hundreds or maybe thousands had the same issue.

You can acces your trunk when folding your back seats. There are straps on both sides to pull it.

Can't fold back seat down in the convertible.

Sounds like the battery is gone. You won't be able to Jumpstart it either.

OK, then the battery might be badly sulphated and dead as a dodo. Which will not be covered by warranty. I'd throw a new quality one in.
OK, just read the last post. If it takes a charge get them to do a load test on it.
