Hello all, is it normal for the g to be tilted in the black badge. It looks the same on steeda and the levittown Ford parts website. But the ones that comes with the nite pony package don't have it. Kind of hard to see in the first image compared to the other one.

I'd bet that is a manufacturing defect. If you brought a bunch I'd bet they'd all be slightly different angles. My 2 cents. You could try your chance at a return. Maybe a little heat to bend reposition the angles/G ?

Your black badges there are not OEM, that's why. The OEM badges don't come in those plastic bags, but official Ford packaging.

The non-OEM "5.0" badges need a tab trimmed to fit properly. If you inspect them closely (put it back-to-back with an OEM 5.0) you'll notice the manufacturer switched the two tabs, one is slightly wider than the other, and the two are in switched positions on the OEM vs aftermarket. I don't know if they did this on purpose to avoid copyright laws, but it's a thing on all ~5 sets from different sources I bought to test (eBay, Amazon various sellers, black, silver).

I had to trim the big tab on the black (non-OEM) "GT" badge to fit in the hole too. They do fit tight, and even pulling the OEM badges causes tiny paint chips in the alignment holes. I touched those up with touch-up paint and allowed to dry for 24hr before inserting the aftermarket badges.

I did not know that, I bought them from eBay for about $300. The 5.0 badges fit perfect, the gt one looks tilted. I'll be doing a return and buying it from the Ford parts website.
