While tuning may still not be available, there are still improvements to be made with the factory air intakes on the S650. And with dual intakes those improvements go a long way. Well, we took what we've known from our past development of the Steeda Closed Lid Intake and other cold air intakes in the past and put it together for the 2024 Mustang. This kit is designed to fit both the GT and the Dark Horse, and you'll see the real world gains tested in this video. We also compare it against a competitor's intake to show you how the Steeda intake is superior.

Nicely done and well presented video. Good sales feature to offer the system without filters! Though I did not see a filterless system offered/price on your site. The system appears very well thought out, engineered, and fabbed/machined.

Nevertheless; bang per buck remains a concern.

$675 + 6% MI internet sales tax + S & H; I figure a minimum of $750. $750 / 6 HP = $125/HP and amounts to $107/TQ. šŸ˜²

I'm sure the system would likely work in a synergystic fashion with larger throttle bodies, and/or a 93 O or e85 tune IF and when they become available. But, until then................................. šŸ¤”

I get these things have R&D costs associated, but I'm not seeing the value on this one. Margin must be fantastic.

I completely understand your concern about the value. Inflation and third-party costs are still creating challenges across the board.

We get it - this won't be an investment everyone wants to invest in.

Unfortunately, many of these cost increases are out of our control, particularly when it comes to third-party suppliers. Weā€™ve done our best to mitigate these costs, but with rising prices, weā€™ve had to adjust accordingly to maintain the same quality and deliver the best possible outcome.

While the perception that our margins are high - I can assure you that external factors like supply chain costs and inflation, which continue to impact our pricing structure, drive higher costs across the board.

TJ, respectfully, this is a canned answer every company in business today uses to justify price increases. I work supply chain for a living and have a close eye on a lot of inputs needed for your products - I don't see huge increases. Build the products, charge what you want, but please don't try to BS and BSer.

Really? So the steel, raw materials, increases in insurance, electricity and all that hasn't effected you - got it.

Let me add (as it is worth mentioning and I didn't in my first post); I'm glad to see Steeda retained the closed OEM air boxes. I view such a design as essential to isolating the filter from heated engine compartment air, and it is difficult at best to see how other CAI systems can achieve that with ONLY a "heat shield"; rather than an enclosed box. I view Steeda's dyno test of the competing more open CAI system that actually lost HP & TQ vs stock as supporting my suspicion of "heat shield" CAIs.

I really like this product, well done. One question before I buy one, any chance of yā€™all coming out with a kit with red hoses later?

Price is what it is, inflation is not Steedaā€™s fault.

I held off on ordering the K&N typhoon due to the heat soak on the metal intake tubes. Now Iā€™m glad I did. Just need to wait for the kit to come out without the branding on the tubes cause yeah it doesnā€™t look all that great tbh

So guess Iā€™ll order the air filters and wait two months for the unbranded intake tubes and stacks to come out and order those. Donā€™t make me wait @tj@steeda I hate waiting!

3 weeks on the non branded ones - won't be too painful!
Also - unfortunately, no red available per manufacturing.

Good point about the metal intake tube and likelyhood of heat soak! šŸ‘
