exactly. concepts are cool, but production vehicles are even cooler. because one is a showpiece, the other shows off what you can actually design and produce, with the latter being much more impressive
This is going into "production" they said at the reveal they've already accepted orders from some of the people in attendance. It'll be a limited production, hyper expensive thing, but you'll be able to buy it.

It makes more sense than you think. Having a good looking coupe with fun driving dynamics that can handle being driven in the winter and over speed bumps, and that has a higher ride height so it's easier to get in and out of than a normal sports car.
You lost me at good looking.

Bloody hell, I thought SUV coupe's plumbed the depths of imbecility...
I don't know, lately I've been wondering how to design a fun-to-drive SUV, regardless if it looks like an AMG GLE63 or a Hyundai Santa Fe/Land Rover Defender...

Because we're on the topic of off-road supercars, I think Hameedi Venturo has the coolest take on the idea. I believe this company is partnered with Ford on this program, because they've said they're partnered with a massive legacy auto brand, and one of the founders was a Ford engineer on things like the ford GT and raptor, so he still has a lot of connections to people working within Ford.

What this car is, is a hypercar shape with raised suspension, but what's really neat is the suspension tech. It sounds like it's super adaptive with significant ride height changes, way beyond the ride height changes we see today where something can raise or lower by a few inches. They want something with a supercar driving experience on pavement with a lower ride height, and a super off-road capable off-road machine you can jump off road.

We've seen off-road vehicles with fixed ride heights that aren't very good performing on-road, and supercars that can't handle off-road stuff. But a hypercar that can tear up a race track, and then go into a raised off-road mode where the suspension raises another like 6-8 inches and becomes and off-road beast, that's a super cool idea imo.
