Ordered: 7/24/2024 (about 1 week after ‘25 order banks became open)

Assigned Build week: 11/4/2024 (1st build wk for ‘25’s)

Build start date for my car: 11/7/24
Build completed: 11/13/24

“Shipped” 11/14/24

Initial “Estimated Delivery” (Tulsa):
12/1/2024 - 12/8/2024

1st revised/“latest” “Estimated Delivery”:
12/10/2024 - 12/16/2024

So, about 5 months from $500 deposit to current…

Have some Dealer add’s to be done which will “take about a week” (so, probably 2 or even 3 weeks w/ all the holidays ahead—

adding:

Whipple SC (800 ish total HP)
Borla Axel-back S-type
Shelby wheels 20 inch
9.5 front
11 rear
on Nitto’s
Rear spoiler
Titanium shift knob (Manual)
Ceramic tint & PPF

While 5 months (order to 1st drive) or maybe a bit longer is becoming a little frustrating….

The next many years of driving it will be easily worth the process…

Been planning for this car even a few years before the S650’s first rolled out of Flat Rock

Still not a peep on my DH Premium and I ordered when you did. I assume that it will be spring. Congrats!

I have factory orderd from Ford before, and there is a big difference between ordering current model year vehicles v. next model year vehicles.

The new model year doesn't get built until the old one finishes, so your Job 1 car is one of the first 2025 cars getting built. Unfortunately you already had a four month delay built in with the order. The rest of your timeline from build to delivery sounds pretty quick.

When I ordered my F150 in the current model year, I had my VIN and build date a week later. Truck was built five weeks after that and delivered 3 weeks later, so about two months from order to delivery, which is typical for a factory order.

I also ordered a 2025 GT Premium in July knowing that builds would not start until November. Because I ordered a 60th Anniversary Edition and live in Canada, there will still be more wait as these will be built in two batches, one in January and one in February, so likely February or March delivery for me so I am looking at 7 to 8 months order to delivery (and then two more months because it will still be winter here 😀).

I agree with you though, the smiles per gallon will be worth the wait.

The build start and finish dates are what has me shaking my head. You mean to tell me an assembly line take 6 days to put a car together?
The initial weight I understood because I knew when we opened the order Bank it was going to be till November before they did anything but still we've all seen pictures of assembly lines, what's their excuse?

That 6 days is not all on the assembly line... part of that time is to acquire parts, assemble the sub-assemblies, paint the body, etc... I believe it is only a day or two on the actual assembly line.

Looks similar to my timeline thus far, here's what I've got on my manual Mustang GT Fastback for those interested:
1. "Order Date": 09/10/2024
2. "Scheduled Build Date": 11/11/2024
3. "Produced Date": 11/15/2024
4. "Shipped": 11/26/2024

Don't have an expected delivery date or anything further yet, hoping I'll get it sometime in the next couple weeks but we'll see.

Man, you got lucky! I ordered a GT Premium Convertible too. My scheduled production week was 12/02. On 11/21 the status showed as "in production", I got so excited that I'm getting it earlier. Fast forward two weeks and it is still in production!!!!

Things appear to be speeding up. I placed my order for a 2025 GT Premium Convertible on 11/19/24, which was fully loaded. I received the VIN and production schedule on 11/20/24, showing a production week of 1/20/25. On 12/5/25, the tracker was updated, showing that the production week had been moved up to 1/13/25. My dealer told me when I ordered that the orders were coming much faster as of late and that I would not have that long of a wait. They believe the car will arrive in late January or early February.

I've always wondered why folks buy convertibles? So, I bought one in 1993. That rag top leaked like a sieve (hence the name), didn't look good up, and was darn noisy! No roll bar in case of a crash, and 20% higher insurance! To each his own!

I understand for a weekend car, but at least here in Houston, its too hot to have the top down more than 6 weeks a year.
