The Inline 6 on the other hand, can sound alright. Not great, certainly not V8 great, but it can sound 'not bad'. That Dodge Sixpack sounds like ass because it's a factory exhaust.

Most V8s, some V10s (although not a fan of the Viper's) and a lot of V12s sound great to me. Never heard a 4 or 6 I liked the sound of, not saying they can't or don't make power, just the noise isn't for me.

4s sound good with ITBS, it’s angry like a honey badger kinda way.

Something that's just struck me is that all of the parties are stating that the Mach 4 has Panamera proportions. If you take a close enough look at the current-gen Panamera, and then look at the Mach-E, you'd notice that the body lines are similar if you stretch the former upward or squish the latter downward.

This got me thinking - a few years ago there was a document leaked by some manufacturing supplier of all the current and future program codes, and "CX799" was listed as a Mach-E coupe that was supposed to be making its debut sometime between now and the next year or so. I wonder if that CX799 turned into what is now the Mach 4 after Ford backpedaled on its EV push, and if it did, I think it'd be easy to guess and say what the Mach 4 would look like.

This is assuming any of what I say has any weight behind it. I'm completely hypothesizing right now...

Hard disagree. There is an opportunity for Ford to properly break into the high performance sedan market here by utilizing the gap Stellantis left open. They need to offer an 8 cylinder option that is equal to the coupe.

What you're suggesting would effectively be a Taurus SHO revival with the Mustang name. That would be blasphemous.
