I hated the stock knob and just burned some Ford Pass points on the carbon fiber Ford Performance knob. I generally opposed to decorative CF but it doesn't scream fake to loudly. Maybe something will eventually catch my eye.
Stock photo is a better representation than my flash phone picture.

I also like the Shelby knob looks really nice.
I have a question.
I don’t understand why Carbon Fiber is such a big deal.
it’s expensive and I just don’t see the difference.
I didn’t mean to hack your post.

Just installed the new shift knob…100% worth the money. One of the best cheap upgrades you can do-feels so much better than stock!

Nice! I am thinking of doing the same thing if possible to my Dark Horse. The Tremic shifter just does not feel comfortable.

How do you align it straight without a jam nut or other method?

Just break the glue on the factory one and thread the new one on-nothing else required-don’t over-think this lol

Installed mine yesterday. Absolutely love it. Better feel & better looking. Every time I've driven since then, I've been a bit happier. Got mine from Steeda, after mine they only had one left. Guess these are very popular.

The factory knobs that don't have a jam nut require them to be loctited in place using loctite blue. That's how they come from the factory. If you screw them all the way down too hard, you can end up with the stem breaking off the top of the knob and it won't be straight either. There are a lot of videos from CJ pony parts(one linked below) on their YouTube channel for installation of shift knobs on the S550. The s650 is identical in that respect.
Below is one of those YouTube videos. Keep in mind that the factory knob doesn't come off as easy as shown in the video but it does come off with a little muscle. Also, please don't use loctite red as mentioned in the video. Please use blue. If you use red, that shift knob may never come off without using tools and damaging the knob. Of course, let it dry overnight before you drive again.

Cheers,
