More pics here. Ford’s description makes no mention of it being maintenance-free; separators must be removed to drain them. Installation looks simple, though.

Good find guys! Thank you for pointing that out. This looks to be a mistype on our part. Let me get with the product team as this was a feature on the GT500 kits.

I'll await confirmations, but If it is like the previous FP design, there is no drain.

Most empty it by removing the top cover (in this example, the four screws), then using a use a turkey baster or syringe to remove the contents and put that into a drain pan.

What a bummer on the price. I like sticking with Ford parts as much as possible but honestly, all of my catch cans for all of my vehicles have been UPR or JLT. They are cheaper than the Ford parts and are easier/faster to empty.

If the Ford parts were the same cost as the aftermarket catch cans, I'd certainly go with the Ford parts. Otherwise, it's hard to justify spending $750.

Sounds like a lot of effort for a simple "catch can". For the price, not a good value IMO. As others have commented, the J&L is easy to install and easy to drain.
