By now, installing an oil separator has become a common practice amongst vehicle enthusiasts because of what they're designed to do. Speaking of their purpose, it's is simple. An oil separator prevents oil vapor from making its way back into the intake system. The oil vapor is filtered through a stainless steel mesh screen that collects into the canister. Overtime, this oil vapor will collect within the throttle body, intake manifold, and the intake ports on the cylinder head which can cause drivability issues further along in the car's life. Plus, let's admit it! We're car people. These easy modifications that net some sort of value make us feel good.
