Here is your 3erd world country:

Bmw offers both rwd and awd via a switch.
My GT did better than both of these bone stock with only 800 miles on it. And I weigh twice of what these guys do.

Well they need to up there game.
To be fair, an entry level gt is like 37 grand with the v6 starts at over 50k, the cheapest supra is pretty slow, and still costs 6 grand more than a gt. Seems like Toyota needs to step up their game if anything, either lower the price of the supra, or increase it's performance.

I agree with @Hack , mustangs are already fat pigs. The GT500 is 4200 lbs...imagine that with AWD?? No thank you.
Transaxle and all-aluminum construction aimed around 3400 lbs would amazing. I guess that'd be a corvette....yep, I definitely want a corvette
I agree 3400 lbs would be amazing. The 'vette is all aluminum with only two seats, but yet it's over 3600 lbs for the base models. I'm sure the higher power versions will weigh even more.

That is why they make a Mach 1 and a GT500...

Any clue what a M3 Competition costs..? More than a GT500... so why even bother to compare it to a half-as-much GT..?
No it does not, they are about the exact same price, and even top out at roughly the same price when fully optioned. I own a M4 Competition with xDrive, thats fully loaded. It's actually a few thousand less than a CFTP GT500 with painted stripes.

Now what BMW did do really well is add the M Drive professional option to the AWD M's, which lets the user set 10 different levels of traction control and turn off the AWD system completely.

If we do get a AWD mustang, I'd assume it would be sold alongside the rwd version. I could see the AWD mustang have a "drift mode" when most of the power goes to the back wheels.
BMW does this, you can fully shut off the front wheels, and go RWD only.

That one is not underpowered. Terrible loss.
The M3/M4 has an amazing launch control system. Another thing to consider is, it is common knowledge BMW underrates their cars terribly. Most new M3/M4's are dynoing at the wheels what they are rated at the engine.

The M3 Competition starts at 73k and the GT500 starts at 74k

I think that ford should offer a Boss 302 with a heavily modified Coyote. Add a 6-speed manual transaxle, the Magnaride from the GT500, dual rear brake calipers as seen on one of the prototypes, and the aggressive aero from the GT500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack.

The GT500 has a 0 to 60 of 3.3 seconds, and the M3 has a 0 to 60 of 3.8 seconds. 760 hp vs 503 hp, but the M3 has a weight advantage of 310 lbs.
3.3 my a$$ ... Maybe on some prep surfaces or shit but certainly not in the real world. Just look at any video comparing the M3/M4 against the GT500...

AWD is just superior. The Gt500 cannot bring its power down. That's why it's a shame that there will be no AWD according to rumors.

The all wheel drive m3 competition has been tested 0-60 at 3.0 seconds. BMW underrates badly. They also dyno around 500whp.
