I guess they'll let us know. My rearview camera works fine.

It will be an OTA update for the 2024 Mustangs
Can you share your source on this? I haven't come across any sort of confirmation about an OTA update for this issue yet.

Big Bird, your statement isn't true in my case. One of the service writers is a young lady about 20 ish, who has a body most men only dream about. Not only that, but one of the mechanics is a good-looking lady in her 40s. She's got more muscles in her arms than I have in my whole body!

"I" wouldn't call this a safety recall except for the fact that the vast majority of today's drivers haven't had driver's ed. I could write an epic about this fact!
Well, TBF, it’s a “safety recall” by law... well, Executive branch regulation IIRC, which has the full force of law and is thankfully implemented by faceless bureaucrats who know better than the great unwashed. :-/ Seriously.

I like the rear cameras, without question. I dig the Raptor 360 camera system even more. But it never needed to be mandated as a vehicle safety feature. There’s plenty of legitimate safety concerns out there on vehicles, as you point out, this ain’t that.

Its seems to be more than a simple software update. When this recall first came out, I noticed a similarity to the problem I was having with my 2019 Flex. After talking to Ford, I suspected they were going to have more models added. Sure enough, within a few weeks, I received a notice that my car was included. The problem is they do not have a fix and I have to wait until they do have a proper fix. My thought is that one of the vendors screwed up and software issues may be adding to the problem. This is a safety issue because too many clueless people have no respect of a vehicle backing up in a parking lot.

Ogling women at the Ford dealership is an uncomfortable hobby. Feel free to not share these notes with the class next time. Thanks.

This is even better news. Seems like my VIN should also be safe based on this build date range. For now.
