Here's short video from the camera.

Good quality camera. When does it turn off? When you turn off the engine? When you turn off the engine and close the doors? Or just like how the USB operates, and shuts off 30 minutes achter everything is off?

Also, I was digging deeper in this dashcam thing.

How is the Fitcamx during the night?
Does it read licenes plates?

I've learned that a dashcam without the Starvis 2 sensor (to read signs and plates at night) is worthless.

The S650 does have a battery monitor will shut down systems (including the remote monitoring, remote start, and such) if the battery goes low, the risk of an excessive battery drainage doesn't exist if you plug it in the usb port(s).
If you hardwire it, it could be different (it depends of where you connect it...), however all the dashcams with the parking recording have a battery monitor system as well (internally or via hardwire kit) where you can set the minimum voltage when the cam will shut down completely.

Actually i'm using the usb mirror port, coz i found it enough for my usage: always on during driving and around 30 minutes of recording while I leave the car for short shopping and such. I do have a hardwire kit (I was using in the S550), but most of the time I leave my car in the garage or controlled parkings for long time, so I didn't wanted to mess again with the wires... the usb port there with a short cable is so convenient.

Is the USB port behind the mirror power the dashcam 24/7?

Nope, for a certain amount of time (for me it's around 30 minutes I think?). You can set a range via ForScan if I'm not wrong, however it couldn't be 24/7.
