Here is a night drive. With some lighting it isn't terrible, but when there isn't much the quality drops drastically. I tried to clip it longer but the file wouldn't upload.

That looks pretty good to me. What are you all are expecting?

That was actually way better than I was expecting. Thank you for the footage.

Nobody tried to run you off the road, and you did not try to run anybody off the road.

Boring!

Oddly enough, watching that video on my phone it looks amazing. When I clipped it on my pc it wasn't good at all. Maybe a resolution issue. I have an ultra wide monitor.
Yeah it looks pretty decent, especially for that price point. I'll definitely be picking one up.
Did you go with the front only cam then?

First Post!

The fitcam X plugs into the rain sensor and I have my radar detector plugged into a different plug up there. I have zero issues. HERE is the radar detector kit I used, it works perfect.

The Fitcam app is terrible. The best way to access video is to just pull the sd card and do everything on a PC. SD card is really easy to remove and put back in. I would also upgrade from the 64gb sd they provide to a 256gb sd.

I attached a video I pulled, another S650 GT leaving the light next to me. I live in a small college town so it's 50/50 if the kid next to you thinks you're racing or not.

Nice post , thank you !

I really do think this dashcam is good bang for the buck. It's my first dashcam because I hate wires. When I got my Mustang about a month ago I stumbled on this searching Amazon for cool accessories and I have zero regrets. One thing I will stand by is the app is total 💩 and recommend pulling the Sd to watch and clip videos. Other than that install is easy and it fit's exactly like the OEM part.

One other thing, they also provide a SD card reader that has USB A and USB C and it works well. Very easy to throw the SD in your PC.
There is also zero setup required. Install it and it records every time you start the car.
I recommend the larger SD card because it does loop record and starts deleting the oldest videos once it's full. It records in 3-5 minute videos and at 4k and 5 minutes each video ends up being ~850Mb, you do the math on how many videos a 64gb card will hold.

I had one of these on my S550.

Install is pretty much the same. The 4 clips on the old housing are a bit of a bugger to get out. Just go slow and take note where they are. Overall it went smoothly but I do have 2 minor complaints with this one though -

1. The cord is ridiculously long. It's takes some creativity to lay it out inside the tray without it binding or getting caught on a clip.

2. The rear of the piece that faces the rear view mirror doesn't lay flush against the roof/windshield and leaves a large gap. It's not noticeable unless you look behind the rear view mirror, but it there. The factory peice also had a gap just not as bad. I think it because there are no rear clips.

I struggled with connecting on the app because android auto kept overriding my phone connection. So turn off Apple car play or Android auto when you go to set up the camera on your phone. Once I did that it connected and started recording immediately.

Some random pics for Install -
