Was the camouflaged prototype you saw white and black with bits of lime green? If so, that's the RTR Ecoboost prototype. I've watched a couple of vids, that's the only prototype mule there. The mule recently spied wasn't at the show.I should have taken pictures of the car it's identical to the one in all the spy photos!!
Exactly, where there's smoke, there's usually fire. Nothing is confirmed of course, but multiple people are coming over 900 hp, and now AWD hybrid. It just makes a lot of sense. Ford seems to be working a lot harder to differentiate mustang variants. They already have a GT 350/ Mach 1 replacement with the dark horse, and the ultimate track weapon with the GTD. Adding a third track focused mustang might be pushing it.People like to write off of each other...
'First guy: there is this old hybrid concept from almost 10 years ago and there is a new Mustang GT500 successor in the pipeline...
Second guy: new GT500 coming, I could imagine they pair it with the hybrid concept...
Third guy: my sources have told me that there will be a new GT500 with hybrid tech and AWD...'
5.2 V8, and hybrid, and AWD...a 4600lb+ Mustang is just what everyone wants.Take this with a grain of salt, but he was told it'll pair the 5.2 with an AWD hybrid setup with a total output of around 900 hp.
Well two out of three could be pretty awesome. Unfortunately that means the 5.2 could be out. I know, I know, heresy. But the GT did pretty good with an Ecoboost.5.2 V8, and hybrid, and AWD...a 4600lb+ Mustang is just what everyone wants.
Help me here. What do you mean?Well two out of three could be pretty awesome. Unfortunately that means the 5.2 could be out. I know, I know, heresy. But the GT did pretty good with an Ecoboost.
If I could only have two of the three items mentioned in @Epiphany post I would go with AWD and hybrid power.Help me here. What do you mean?
Thanks. I’m a little literal. If I could only have two of the three items mentioned in @Epiphany post I would go with AWD and hybrid power.
Can’t wait to see what it looks like. We already know what the drive train will be haha. Whippled Coyote lol
Ford does not own the GT500 title Shelby owns it. As Ford is not working with Shelby right now This is not a GT 500. It may be a Boss variant as Ford just redid the Boss trade mark.https://fordauthority.com/2025/06/2...-body-spotted-for-first-time/#google_vignette
As mentioned in the title the guys over at Ford Authority spotted the first GT500 with production body. They have many pictures as well.
Not many information are shared other than what we know already, which is not much. Engine name is changed to 'legend' although that doesn't mean much... I still suspect a 5.2L supercharged engine with around 800hp...
I would hope for a manual option if everything else stays the same...
