No- I would have loved to. To get this one they had to go over 500 miles out… hard to find these manual PP cars!

The correct Ford name is "Race Red" and, yes, they do pick you out of a line of cars with radar. I keep a radar detector in mine 100% of the time.

Ahh, Race Red, not Racing Red. Thank you. I like how this color isn't so, um, pretentious if you will I mean, I get it, colors aren't plain descriptive any more. But why not? Rather than Vapor Blue Metallic, why not "Head Gasket Failure Blue Smoke" and maybe rather than "Shadow Black" it could be... okay okay...

My base EcoBoost doesn't have the USB in the rear view mirror but that's okay, it doesn't have the acceleration or speed, officer, there must be some mistake...

Man it’s been a crazy couple of months.

Finally, after signing paperwork 2 months ago and having the dealer go get the vehicle- only to have a stop sale force the deal to be unwound, we were able to re sign today and pick her up:

My wife named her “Lightning McQueen”… I said- sure… why not? Anything to get her involved and loving it.

Had D Plan through my son who is a Ford tech, plus the $3500 rebate, so paid just over $49k for the $58,600 MSRP Mustang.

I think that was a pretty good deal.

My wife giggled and smiled all the way home (hour plus drive), with the Active Exhaust in Track Mode the whole time.

What a joy to drive!

some cyclists came close to me today which set off my emergency front braking-damn do those Brembos from the PP grab quick. Wouldn’t have it either way. Just wish they were a two piece with a brake hat. I looked it up and it’s $1700 US for the tenure rotors all around. Ouch

I had two piece rotors on the last car. They look the biz, but unless you're doing track stuff, they're just an extra cost at replacement time.

I special ordered my car to get the 6-speed. It's a heck of a lot of fun if you like to do it yourself; if you don't I bet that 10-speed auto is phenomenal.
