Man it’s been a crazy couple of months.

Finally, after signing paperwork 2 months ago and having the dealer go get the vehicle- only to have a stop sale force the deal to be unwound, we were able to re sign today and pick her up:

My wife named her “Lightning McQueen”… I said- sure… why not? Anything to get her involved and loving it.

2025 Mustang GT
301A, Manual, Performance Package, Active Exhaust, Red Calipers…

Had D Plan through my son who is a Ford tech, plus the $3500 rebate, so paid just over $49k for the $58,600 MSRP Mustang.

I think that was a pretty good deal.

My wife giggled and smiled all the way home (hour plus drive), with the Active Exhaust in Track Mode the whole time.

What a joy to drive!

Congratulations and beautiful Mustang! Adding... I love my manual and wouldn't have it any other way. Some people knock the performance package which I have too. I think it's a great addition.

Thanks! I wouldn’t have bought it without it.

I just think those massive Brembos, gorgeous wheels, raised spoiler, not to mention the rear end, better gearing, plus all the coolers from the dark horse - like I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t buy the PP!
Congrats on finally getting to take it home!
thanks!!

some cyclists came close to me today which set off my emergency front braking-damn do those Brembos from the PP grab quick. Wouldn’t have it either way. Just wish they were a two piece with a brake hat. I looked it up and it’s $1700 US for the tenure rotors all around. Ouch

Thanks! Yeah the color is perfect…
I have never had red before. How is it for hiding scratches? That’s why I went with silver. Good paint on yours? I’m blown away by th paint thickness on mine-measured it-most I have ever had on any car -hope you got the same with your beautiful red ride.

Looks like they did a good job on your red beauty on the panel alignments. I think 2025 has had some of the best quality I have seen in my 5 litres over a 15 year period.

nice man car looks great. glad you finally got to pick it up. hopefully they didnt botch the recall repair too terribly, ive seen a few pretty bad ones already. Really like the red. I almost made the swap to red for mine but just couldnt bring myself to do it. hopefully carbonized gray looks as good in real life as it does online

Thanks … appreciate it. You know- I hadn’t really considered Red. It never looked that great to me - in pics. In Person- when shined up- it’s really stunning. Very happy with it.

The carbonized grey is slick though… it’ll be great!

Thanks! It seems to be fine! I’m going to take it and get the windows tinted and full correction with ceramic in the next few weeks…

I’ll see if they can measure it!
