Those are for the gallon concentrate. Your smaller bottle will be premixed at 1:1, so cut it 50/50 with water to arrive at 4:1.

I ceramic coated the top cover of the whipple using BC6 wheel coating. For light cleaning ADS Hero, rise off and then Motorplast by Koch Chemie. I’m going to try the hyper dressing next.

Motorplast is nice, which is used in the same manner as Hyper Dressing, ie onto a wet surface and allowed to dry/self-level.

This is what you are aiming for when using Motorplast and Hyper Dressing, generous coverage. From here, you can use a blower or compressed air to help spread into the ribbed sections of the intake and other intricate areas. Otherwise, you just let it dry like.

The beauty of Hyper Dressing is that you can dilute it to suit the look you prefer. Motorplast has juuuust a little too must sheen for my taste. Although, the level of sheen will depend on the plastics used by the car company, some will naturally exaggerate gloss levels, same thing with tire dressings.

When I got my car with 4 miles on it, the engine bay was filthy with dust and pollen. I sprayed Mequiars Hot Shine Tire Foam on a sponge and went to town.

That stuff is my go-to product…it doesn’t streak and leaves a nice gloss on plastic, rubber, etc.

I don't see the difference. What is the before picture and what is the after picture? They both look the same.

Sorry for the confusion. Both pics are “AFTER”. I didn’t think to take a pic of “BEFORE”. That would have been a great idea!

I deleted one pic to avoid further confusion.

How bad is water for the engine bay. I see people cover the whole engine bay in water and soap, but I see tons of electric cables.
No problem using a hose, be very careful with pressure washers. Avoid focussing the spray on connectors and such.

I had real good luck with my 2014 GT engine bay by just wiping it with the damp towell that I used to dry the car - every time I washed it I'd pop the hood and clean up.

You could have eaten off of any surface in there, even after eleven years.
Never felt the need for cleaners or dressings in the engine bay.

To be fair, I would NEVER drive on dirt, and only drive 6-7k miles a year. But still.

I do think that the S650 engine and engine bay looks 10x harder to keep clean, but we'll see.

That's pretty much all I do too, although I use a dedicated towel and little waterless wash, but that's not really needed. Keeping an engine bay clean is easier than actually having to CLEAN an engine bay.
